Senior Staff Accountant |

Description
Reporting to the Director of Corporate Accounting, responsibilities for this position include:
- Hands on involvement with all aspects of month end close for multiple subsidiaries (locate and correct all batch errors, document, standardize and analyze close process, etc.)
- Communicate with plant controllers regarding status of close and answer all questions regarding month end
- Perform all general ledger functions including ensuring integrity of system, standard and miscellaneous journal entries and allocations, reconciliations, etc.
- Consolidate forecasting for entire company
- Work on a team including a Manager of Budgeting and assist with any necessary projects or reports
- Compile year end reports and perform annual journal entries
- Assist in year end process and audit
- Essbase Power User: Create ad-hoc and standard reports; maintain the forecasting tool in Essbase and make enhancements to improve process; assist automation of the FOS package; ensure integrity of data as needed
- Budget: assist with Pillar implementation
- Licensing: work with licensing department to ensure royalty receivables are accurately accounted for
Qualifications
- Accounting Degree, CPA preferred
- Minimum 3-5 years experience, manufacturing background helpful
- Strong technical aptitude with accounting systems software
- JD Edwards, Hyperion Essbase knowledge highly desirable
- Capable of working under pressure and ability to multi-task
- Excellent communication skills are a MUST
- Hands-on, roll-up-the-sleeves attitude required, this is a nuts and bolts job
- Must demonstrate initiative, drive, and a high energy personality (no wimps need apply)
- Expected to do your job with a high level of integrity; work hard and know how to have fun
- Willing to take on challenges, learn new things and be excited to do whatever it takes to get the job done
