Description
In this fast paced development environment you will
- Gather requirements from the client at project inception
- Develop project schedules, costing, and contribute to proposal generation
- Manage a team of programmers and graphic artists
Qualifications
- 7+ years experience managing software development projects, with at least five of those being in fixed price contract Internet site development. This is vital: Think of the kind of projects at ThoughtMill, iXL, Xcelerate, Nuforia, and the like from the boom days: JSP, App servers, EJB, XML, Oracle/MS, rich content, dynamic media, Flash, Macromedia, Interwoven, and so on.
- Demonstrated ability to manage, encourage, motivate and lead teams of software developers and graphic artists
- Comfortable in high pressure entrepreneurial environment (see what needs to be done and do it)
- Be good at scheduling with MS Project or similar tool
- Track record for on time delivery of professional dynamic multimillion dollar web sites
- Bilingual, English and Spanish a plus
- Practical understanding of Software Engineering principals, for example CMM and RUP
- Understanding of usability issues
- Impeccable demeanor and presentation
- Must have demonstrated ability to manage client relations from requirements gathering to product delivery and beyond
