Lily Zapata Winsaft
Lily has over 25 years experience in sales, business development, teambuilding, staffing, recruiting, territory management, product launch, training, coaching, and mentoring. Ms. Winsaft's background includes over 20 years of combined experience in financial services, venture capital funding, investment banking and wireless communications. In the last 10 years, she has been involved in senior level recruiting and staffing. Having a Bachelor's degree in Psychology with an emphasis in human factors, Ms. Winsaft understands the behavioral nature of executive search and placement. Her success has, to a large extent, depended on her ability to fully realize the "art" of each position she works on. This involves understanding the personality and chemistry profile for both the client and the candidate.
Lily spent 5 years as a senior manager at one of the world’s oldest and
largest staffing firms, a Fortune 500 International company focused on
Accounting and Finance. In late 2001 she resigned her post at Robert Half
International and created Aldebaran Associates International, in part, to
address the challenges facing corporations and professionals in a 21st
Century transitioning economy.
As CEO/Founder and Chief Rainmaker of the company, her dream is to "create a world where people love what they do for a living." Often referred to as The Recruiter with a Heart, Lily recently changed the Aldebaran tag line to… "Recruiting with Purpose and Passion."
Winsaft was recognized as "Business Woman of the year, 2005" by The Georgia Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, one of the most powerful and influential Hispanic organizations in Atlanta and just one of the many non-profits that Lily devotes time and energy to. Currently, she serves as President of the Atlanta Chapter of the National Latina Business Woman Association (NLBWA), a nonprofit organization dedicated to the business and professional development of Latinas through education and mentoring opportunities. She currently chairs the "Compañeros Giving" campaign for the Latin American Association, an organization which recently honored her on National Philanthropist Day for her fundraising and volunteer efforts.
In addition to her involvement with other Hispanic organizations such as
ACOLPA (the Association of Colombian Professionals in Atlanta), where she
served as President of the Board for 3 years, GHNet (the Georgia Hispanic
Network), where she is an active Board Director, the Mexican American
Chamber of Commerce, she serves on the National Multicultural Board of the
Women’s Leadership Exchange and actively supports and/or volunteers or
advises/mentors programs with SHRM (the Society for Human Resources
Management), the Institute of International Business Program at Georgia
State University, the MBA International Program at American Intercontinental
University, where she is an active Board Advisor and many others.
Lily is a native of Colombia, South America and was raised in Brooklyn, NY
and Miami, Florida.
